Out near the end of our dock, if you look to the left, there's a bend in the creek that I call the 'S Curve'. I have painted the S Curve in all different tides, times of day, and seasons, and it always gives me a sense of the Lowcountry---tranquility and slowness. In this particular version, I chose a time just after high tide, when the grass is still damp and lying sideways and the water is still high in the grass. I feel this gives a great deal of movement to the painting. It's a large painting, which makes its statement that much more powerful.
This painting is unframed and painted on the edges; it could be framed if desired.
